Donations to Other Charities

In addition to our main programs, we also make cash contributions to other charities whose aims align with ours. To apply for financial assistance, email alex@center4living.org. To qualify, your organization must be engaged in assisting the recovery of former criminals or drug abusers.

The following is a partial list of organizations we have contributed to:

  • Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America—Partners children in need with caring adults who will inspire children to reach their full potential through an ongoing relationship.
  • Make A Wish Foundation—Grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
  • Boy Scouts of America—Provides educational programs for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and to develop personal fitness.
  • Girl Scouts of America—The world's largest organization dedicated to helping all girls everywhere build character and gain skills for success in the real world.
  • American Red Cross—Provides a vast range of lifesaving programs and services. The Red Cross provides relief during natural disasters and other emergencies, including hurricane relief.
  • Habitat for Humanity—Brings families and communities in need together with volunteers and resources to build decent, affordable housing for low-income households, including hurricane victims.
  • SPCA LA—A private non-profit organization that provides a compassionate shelter for all companion animals and exists solely through the donations and support of people. SPCA rescued animals from hurricane disaster areas.
  • D.A.R.E. America—The DARE program gives kids the life skills they need to avoid involvement with drugs, gangs and violence. DARE is a police officer–led series of classroom lessons that teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Children of the Night—A private, non-profit, tax-exempt organization founded in 1979, dedicated to assisting children between the ages of 11 and 17 who are forced to prostitute on the streets for food and a place to sleep.
  • Doctors Without Borders—Sends doctors and medical teams to Third World countries to provide medical assistance.
  • The Salvation Army
